Our camps are located in the north of South Africa, in the Kalahari, and are specially adapted for big game hunting. They are estates of about 5000 hectares, where lions are found in the wild.
This hunt can be perfectly combined with another Big Five hunt and a warthog or antelope hunt. If you wish to combine it, once the lion has been hunted, we will move to the Winburg area in the Free State, where we have estates, two of them managed by us, perfectly accommodated, with a large number of animals and where you will be able to shoot excellent trophies.

ITIRENARY:
Day 1 and 2: Arrive at Johannesburg airport, then drive to the hunting camp 6 hours drive away.
Day 3 to Day 4: 2 days of hunting.
Day 5: Return to Johannesburg airport for return flight.

We have an airstrip on the farm, we offer the option to travel from Johannesburg to Kalahari and vice versa in a private plane. Ask us for conditions.

* These are malaria-free areas, so no vaccinations are required to hunt here, and no special medication is needed. There are no poisonous snakes either. It is totally SAFE
* There is a doctor’s office, clinic and pharmacy within 15 minutes of the main hunting area in the Free State, and 1:45 in the Kalahari for any emergencies or health problems.

HUNTING METHOD:
Lion hunting is done on the track, this is one of the most exciting modalities that every hunter can practice. The hunting team consists of the hunter, a professional tracker, and as a rule one or two professional hunters, which will carry at least three weapons.
We will use the help of a car adapted for this type of hunt, with a seat at the front of the vehicle, where the tracker will sit to lead us along the trail of the feline until we see the most recent tracks, at which point the hunter will decide whether to continue the search on foot or, on the contrary, to continue by car. It is not common for the lion to just attack, but the hunter must always follow the instructions of his PH, and never hesitate in a risky situation, because if the lion attacks, it must be killed for the good of the group.

* You can enter South Africa with a valid passport and a visa will be issued at the border for a maximum of three months.
* It is not necessary to be vaccinated for anything special, but any specific medicine that a person is taking, it is essential to bring it with you.
* Hunting clothes should be light, because during the day it is hot, but at night it cools down a lot, so we should also bring warm clothes, it is also advisable to bring comfortable boots for the safari.
* It is advisable to bring mosquito repellent in liquid or spray form, as well as sunscreen.
* If you bring your own weapons, please remember to have them inspected at the point of origin before your departure, although if you do not wish to bring them we have weapons and ammunition available.
* We recommend 375 calibre guns and 300 grains ammunition for lion hunting.
* If we bring weapons with us, these cannot be semi-automatic, and we will also have to bring the hunting invitation as well as the accrediting documentation for the introduction of these. All this will be provided by VENATORIA SAFARIS.
